The French named one of best restaurants in the Uk in Good Food Guide
The French by Simon Rogan has been named one of the best in the UK in the 2017 edition of the Waitrose Good Food Guide.
For the fourth year running the restaurant, in The Midland Hotel, has achieved an 8/10 ranking in the acclaimed guide, placing it at number 18 in the UK.
What’s more, it is the only restaurant in Greater Manchester to feature in the top 50.
The news comes in line with Head Chef Adam Reid’s appearance in the North West regional heats of BBC’s Great British Menu.
“Upholding the solid 8/10 rating for four years really is a reflection of the continued focus and hard work we have been undertaking at The French every year,” says Adam.
“Everything we do at The French is in pursuit of higher standards, consistency and delivering the best possible service to our guests. I am very proud of the whole team.”
Meanwhile Simon Rogan’s Fera at Claridge’s in London was also awarded an 8/10 score, placing it at number 15 in the new guide, whilst Simon’s L’Enclume restaurant in Cumbria retained its place at number one in the list after achieving a flawless 10/10 rating.
The new Waitrose Good Food Guide is published on September 5.
